What is the best way to get from Rosemont (blue line) to Neo (Fullerton)?
I seem to have 4 options:

1. Blue Line to downtown (Monroe), bus 22 north to right outside the club
(total time 66 min on train/bus plus 8 min walk to Rosemont sta. = 74 min)

2. Blue Line to downtown (Jackson), Red Line north to Fullerton (10(?) min walk to club) (total time 58 min on trains plus 8 min walk to Rosemont plus 10 min walk to club = 76 min)

3. Blue Line to Logan Square, bus 76 east to Diversey and Clark, walk 11 min to club
(total time 54 min on train/bus plus 11 min walk to club = 65 min)

4. Blue Line to California, cab to club (3.2 miles, 10 min, straight east down Fullerton, fare=$9.91 inc tip)
(total time 8 min walking + 23 min on train + 10 min cab = 41 min)

I'm thinking #4 might be best even though mots expensive, but people who are in Chicago, please tell me if any of these others are viable/good.

Also...who's coming with?

Who the hell decided to schedule 2 lolita panels at the same time?

Most of the lolitas that come aren't at all interested in the stupid anime panels and programming. They are there only for the lolita stuff. So why would you put them at the same time? WTF is wrong with people? Grrr...

I think I'll leave the sew loli one early and go to the other. If it's anything like last year it'll be super boring anyway and I think I know the girls doing the other one? Not sure. Oh well, we'll see what I feel like when I get there. Either way I'll hit the beginning of sew-loli and the end of dos and don'ts...just not sure about the overlapping portion.

So I made my schedule:



I only threw the mythology one on there cuz I noticed Lina was going to it, but I think the chances of me being awake and moving and dressed at that point (or caring enough to bother) are next to nil.

Also, the 3 on Friday afternoon are not at all decided - I only threw them on there because they didn't look HORRID and I might be bored. But I don't know that I'll actually go.

So maybe the best time to wear Hina would be Saturday afternoon? I would rather not wear her to the lolita events, and that's the biggest lolita-free zone. XD haha Only thing then is my hair will get funky before the club. But that's no biggie - I think I should be able to salvage it enough to throw my older fake hair falls on there and be good to go.

Actually, I think I will wear it on Friday afternoon/evening. That would work out perfectly. After the fashion show there are no more lolita events, so I can throw it on after the fashion show and wear it the rest of that night. I think I'll do that.




In unrelated news:
I think I need to save my new falls for daytime events and use my old ones for club-wear, because I've only had them about 2-3 months and they are just SAD. So gross looking. It's all from the club - I do weird things to them, I dance in them, the smoke, the air, the hats...etc etc.

9:00 walk into cubicle, turn on computer (yes, literally at 9:00 precisely)
9:03 computer boots up finally
9:04 check email
9:06 carefully review small changes made to a translation I did (just 1 sentence changed) and make mental note of wording for next time
9:07 read rest of email
9:08 close last new email


As of 9:08 I completed everything I have to do at work until 2:30, in all likelihood. It is possible someone will ask me for something, but unlikely.

So close and yet...so far. All I need to do is finish the straps and attach them and this would be wearable...but the waist is slightly weird with one seamline looking funky...I want to just cover it with a big bow, but I haven't time to make another big bow. And it wants a bow at the top center as well...and something in the hair... I didn't do the underskirt but I could use one I have... It's like...so close...and so cute...but somehow just not DONE and I'm tired and it's 12:30 almost. Fuck it, I'm going to sleep. Tomorrow I won't have time (I was supposed to finish this Monday and pack today, and I still have laundry, and I have to go home tomorrow). I wish I hadn't decided to care about this silly con. Last year was awesome because I just grabbed random shit and went. Maybe I'll just throw my hands up and do that this year. Cons are like...where most lolitas bring their "A game" which is why I felt like I should care...but I'm just like, I don't care anymore. Whatevs. I don't actually think I have an "A game" anymore anyway. XD Still...woulda been nice to have this dress.

I put my hina ichigo costume completely on and was about to take photos to ask whether i should wear it at the con and to see better what needs fixing...and I realize my camera's in my trunk (I think!). FUCK! I don't wanna go outside in this...but I don't wanna CHANGE it takes too long to get dressed...fuck I'm a moron..

Not surprisingly, this week I have nothing to do. But I am soo bored... I wish I could sew at work!! XDXDXD

I guess...at least I'm almost done with Book 2 of War and Peace?

But that doesn't really help with how monstrously busy I am this week at home...goodness. I have to finish my jsk still (various things going wrong last night means I'm not done yet... I have to put in 2-3 more channels of shirring and then attach the skirt to the bodice and make straps. Maybe I should make a back bow too but probably no time. I wanted to put ribbon bows on it too but again probably no time. I need to put a waistband on my underskirt too...if time a lining as well. Shorten both the skirt for the jsk and the underskirt because I made them too long. And I should make some kind of hair ornament but I think I'll just use the crown (see icon). Even though I'll probably be using the crown for my piano outfit. Maybe I should use my white crown for that one instead. That would do.

And I have to try on Hina and decide if she's worth wearing or not, and then gather the rest of my stuff to wear (which I haven't even decided on yet...)...and do laundry...

Tonight is the party Garfield invited me to...normally I wouldn't want to go but I kinda do now. He's a cool guy. We'll see. Tomorrow evening I am going down to home to get my new hair falls and eat dinner. Thursday I want to leave pretty much right after work (though I'll probably stop home for a few minutes just to change and grab my stuff, since, as it is on the way, there's no point in having all mu suitcases in my car all day. But nonetheless...I have a few hours tonight and fewer tomorrow, and such a shitload of stuff to do. SIGH.
